school during the week & party animals on the weekend?

The title of this pretty much sums up how our apartment lives these days. It's pretty much awesome. During the week we go to school & have lots of fun doing random stuff in the evenings but then the motto is that on weekends we have a wonderful time & party it up. Jacqui & I, since it's our last semester, are especially fans of this motto for our apartment. Time to play some quick catch up too! This past week wasn't too bad. It was my last full week of student teaching @ Ellis, which I'm bummed about but it's okay I'm excited to be with 2nd graders too. So let's seeeee umm every weekday evening is usually spent with us just hanging around the apartment doing homework, visiting with anyone who drops by & having a lovely time. Wednesday night I had to leave school early with a migraine. YUCK. But then we made tasty juice smoothie things with Justin, Nate & their roommate so it ended up being a pretty nice day! anddd finally we made it to the weekend! I love it!

Friday night we went to this tight & bright party at one of the fraternities up on campus. We headed out right before ten so we could get in free and then we danced it up for a couple of hours. The party was pretty great and I have to say I sure love how crazy Jacqui gets. There was a couple that grinding it up (so awkward) and jacqui goes over and randomly is dancing around them and bumping hips with the guy...anddd i almost died laughing. The best part is they didn't even stop the guy would just look and look away. hilarious. anddd then the party moved downstairs & wasn't as cool so we ended up going to play Lasertag @ the Fun Park instead! boooyah (for free did I mention). There was a big group of us that went and we played a few rounds of that before heading home. The best part of coming home on one of those nights? The four or five of us hanging out around the kitchen table, laughing & chatting & having late night snacks before finally going to sleep at 3 am. Saturday meant homework time which meant I really didn't get much of anything done. I did go on a run with Jacqui which was awesome but phew I am so out of shape these days! Anywho...it was a lovely evening of napping & hanging out with Baby Kyle andddd then we headed out to another party. It was the birthday party of a fellow that Jacqui knows that we've all met a couple of times. This one was held at an old sorority house up on campus. It started out a little shaky but it ended up being super fun. We got our dance on some more, had cupcakes & enjoyed hanging out with the people we know. It's funny because we've been going out so much now that we are starting to get to know people everywhere we go that we see at ever party/ event we go too. Anywho...this week is my last week at Ellis & I'm super bummed to be leaving my amazing teacher but it will be nice to not have to be to school until 840 every day instead of 730. Here's hoping that I don't get a crazy teacher in this next block!

Valentine's Partayyyyyy

So here's the latest scoop:

:.Last friday night Feb. 10th 

We hosted our first party at our apartment. It was a Valentine's Party for all the singles. Sooo we had Natey & Justin move all our furniture out of our living room with most of it occupying my room (made it tricky to move around). Then we decorated with some dollar store stuff, balloons from Nicole & paper hearts. Anddd we had our table as the food table in the kitchen & it  looked adorableeee if I do say so myself. Anywho we borrowed some speakers from RA Kyle so we could dance party it up. The party started off a wee bit slow but picked up fast and soon there were lots of people in & out. I honestly didn't know half the people who came and I was a bad host because I didn't get to know many of them...whoopsie. I was otherwise...occupied with boys of my fancy : ) so we started out with music & chatting...threw in some Truth or Dare which was hilarious to say the least except for myself. More dancing, the saran wrap game (pics to come), more dancing & mingling & another fun game or two! : ) Everyone had a blast that came from what I heard. The (twins) came and I was so stoked that they did! It was great getting to chat it up with them some more because I think they are just dreammyyyy...sigh. Well let's just say after many hours I finally headed to sleep around 330 am. That meant it was a true success with the cool kids hanging out till then chatting it up in our empty living room. Turns out...B12 throws quite the party.

:. Saturday

That morning we pulled out the old routine of 'stay in our PJ's & do homework until like 3pm" which is freaking awesome. We just lounge around being our goofy, hilarious selves while we do our homework etc. It was a blast and our living room was pretty empty still so we could play around in there. Well the time came for stake conference at 630 pm & so all four of us headed out, met up with Justin and then he & Nate came with us. After a lovely meeting we came home & got all changed so we could head to Mardi Gras up at the school. It was an overall lovely night but couldn't really top our party the night before. Well I did get my fortune told by a tarot card reader & that was fascinating to say the least. Dancing & casinos & tons of people and we headed home after that about 1 am...and we were very tired because we had stake conference the next morning at 10 am. However...we didn't go to sleep. Three friends of Amanda's stopped by. Andd two of the boys were adorable & hilarious & Sarah, Jacqui & I were up till like 3 talking to them & Nate. Ronnie & Trae who were worth being way tired in stake conference for. 

:. Sunday

Let's just say after two 3am nights staying awake in stake conference was...a  challenge. We were beat!! Phew...it was a lovely meeting then we came home & had some TASTY ribs with Justin& Cobie before I took like a 3 hour nap. It wasn't a bad evening at all and we just spent it hanging out at our apt. Let's skip forward to the best Valentine's Day ever. 

:. Monday Night

Our neighbor knocked on our door and told us someone had left something out there. Turns out we had cookies, fake rose petals &  a lovely, hilarious note waiting for us. We were very excited & it was the cutest thing of my life! We were dying to know who it was because it was clearly from someone who  knows & loves us. (turns out it was our sweet baby kyle who hid it very well)

:. Tuesday: Dia de Amor: Valentine's Day

So I bought some cheesy valentine's fromWalmart for my class & decided I would leave some for my roomies since I had extras. So I left them each one on the table in the morning before school. Then I taped a couple for Justin & Nate on their door too so they would have a treat! I headed off to school where  I got to see the cutest valentine's Day dance & activity! We also passed out Valentine's at the end of the day & I ended up with a crazy amount of candy...it was like a lover's Halloween. Those kiddies sure are great! I heart them all. Well so after a relatively good day at school I headed home to what would be an incredible afternoon/ evening. First: I walk in the door & sweet Sarah had cleaned our whole apt! It was wonderful! Second: I walked into my room where I found the following: a bag of candy/ note from Em, a rose & note from Amanda & a giant Heart note from Jacqui ( SERIOUSLY i have the BEST roomies ever...of all time...EVER). Well I felt ridiculously loved. Third: Natey dropped by later & had gotten us all a little heart box of chocolates with cards on them! (reason number ten million why I love this kid to death. like for realsies) Fourth: Roomies & I had a tasty Valentine's Dinner that we all prepared & it was soooo good and then we went to see The Vow (disappointed slightly but didn't put a damper on my day). Fifth: We came home to the following: Note from Justin/ Kyle with drinks & gum for all of us (reason ten million why I love Justin & I am starting to love Kyle(RA) ), Treats from Mindy & cookies from Mindy. 

I mean seriously with all the lovin going around it was hard not to have the most amazing day. It helped me to remember once again just how CRAZY blessed I am. I have the BEST roommates & my neighbors Nate/Justin are beyond FANTASTIC! Truly had a wonderful 24 hours. Andddd we topped it off with some chatting until 1 am with Nate, Baby Kyle & Spencer. Completed my day...and no matter how hard my weeks get I just have to think of that day & I know things are really, truly super around here. Pictures to come in the next post. it's the weekend.

well it wasss the weekend. Now it's sunday night & tomorrow means ANOTHER week of school. I am just glad I can look so much towards the weekends now because of my awesome roomies who love to do awesome stuff. Time to recap this weekend. Let's start with Friday night shall we! So Jacqui & I were gonna be the only ones around so we decided to hit up Poetry & a Beverage at the school. We invited Spencer & Justin to come with us. We headed up there & had wayyy too much fun. First we mixed up some Italian Sodas which were yummy cause mine tasted kinda like a Strawberries & Creme from Starbucks...& then I got a wonderful laugh when Justin got too much flavor in his & threw most of it away. So we got our drinks & headed to the HPER to watch a volleyball game of Justin's friend for a few minutes. When we headed back to PoBev we had some flat tires going on because we are kids like that & some bullying because we love each other like that! PoBev was way fun. At first we didn't really have seats but then we found some comfy couches which made life awesome. What made it better? Oh Jacqui & I got to talk to these twins we met a few weeks ago that we've been wanting to hang out with. We met them at a dance party & turns out they are just as cute in the light. M & M since both their names begin with M & they are mostly identical. So we were chatting it up with them, had an awkward moment then enjoyed the rest of the music. Welp POBEV ended so we decided to go with Justin & some of his friends to play Tag at an old church that isn't used anymore. By tag I mean they were playing Hide & Seek and since none of us wanted to hide by ourselves...welllll it's possible that the four of us went into a dark room & laid on each others stomachs & talked for like an hour and then when the next game started we totally did that again. hahaha It was way fun because we got to chat & I laughed pretty hard at everything from Jacqui being able to find funny body parts to hitting our heads on each others stomachs to see if it hurt to the super awkward arm positioning we kept trying to figure out. Well it was a successful night in my mind & I certainly enjoyed myself & I love the people in my life right now. It has made this semester so much easier. 

Moving onto Saturday....which meant me, Em & Jacqui did homework & stayed in our pajamas until like 4pm...no big deal. HAHAHA we enjoyed ourselves all the while getting so very much done. It was one of the best, relaxing saturdays I've had in quite awhile. Then our luhhhovelyyy Emilee wanted to make us roommmate dinner! She made a tasty chicken dish which the four of us sat at the table & enjoyed. It was a fun dinner just chatting the four of us (Sarah joined us during the morning). That evening we headed to a party in an apartment here. It started out slow...got better...got slow again but it was still quite fun. I had fun dancing it up with Em, Sarah & Nate (what a fella with some serious moves) and chatting it up with everyone there. Finally I was too tired to stand it & I had to leave before they did which was crazyy but I did teach RS today so I needed some rest. Anywho...can't wait for this weekend. We are HOSTING a partayyyy for Valentines day which should be quite the blast. Can't wait to see how it all turns out. the end.

my oh my how quickly the time flieesssss

So here's the deal, turns out I keep putting blogging off even though I don't want to. So here's the information for the past couple weeks since snowboarding that I'd like to remember in future days.

First off...turns out I have some pretty hilarious & amazing roomies. Big shout out to Emilee, Sarah, Jacqui & Amanda. I LOVE these girls. There is nothing better than an evening where Em, Sarah, Jacqui & I are just sitting around chatting, being goofy & having fun. They love to go out & do stuff which is just what I want for this semester. We always laugh, crack jokes & find ways to have fun & I love them always.

Okay so since snowboarding here's some fun things that have occurred:

-About two sundays ago I was at ward choir right. Well Tim B & I were walking out & I had my hands full. Some girl screamed over on the other side of the parking lot & right as he turns to look away KABLAM...I slipped on some ice and fell & I don't mean I just kinda fell I REALLY fell. I yelled TIM & he turned around to help me up buttt turns out there were  a bunch of people behind us & I got some good scrapes up & down my leg which means...leggings on sundays for awhile. Anywho that left me pretty sore for a few days.

-Last friday night me & the roomies went to the Sports Academy for an institute thing. We arrived & found it to be crazzzyyy crowded soo we left & Em & I went to Pizza Pie Cafe with the cutest fellas around..Josh Corbridge, Casey, Matt & Mike (josh's bro). So we stuffed ourselves full of yummy pizza & turns out we got to take TONS of free pizza home because it was the end of the evening. I always LOVE spending time with these fellas. I don't think I've ever hung out with them  & not had a good time. They truly light up my life!

-So then Saturday rolllsss around. Now we'd been planning to go to this gangsta themed party all week that our sunday school president was throwing. So I got us some sweet hats from Ryan (also lights up my life) & Matt to wear. So we got all gansta'd up & took some pics & then headed out. It was me, Em, Sarah, Nicole, Jacqui & her sister & friend, Spencer & Tim. We arrived to a house blaring music and some strobe lights. It was SOOO much fun! We were only there for like 2 1/2 hours but it felt like 5. It was hilarious because so much rap music was playing (some not so edited) and our sunday school & elder's quorum president were both there dancing the night away. We had a blast getting down & I love that I have friends who love to go out & dance because I love it but I haven't done much of it before now. Anywho so we finished up that party & headed home to sleepy sleep.

-Sunday rolled around & we went to church & then the four of us roomies + Nicole went to an amazing fireside by Elder Holland @ the spectrum with Eric & Daniel (hosts of the gangsta party). It was a blast even if our feet hurt from walking up in heels. He is truly amazing & I feel so honored to get to hear him speak. 

-Welp from there another week began. Sidenote: ( for a few days Amanda's friend Vince from New Zealand was here & we had fun getting to know him & listen to him speak with his awesome accent!) Well for FHE, Em, Jacqui, Nicole & I took Vince with us to the church where our ward played couples Kickball. It was HILARIOUS & surprisingly super fun! Sure I had bruises around my ankles from the string pulling but it was a great ward bonding time I though.

-Thennn  Monday night at like 11pm Justin (our adorable neighbor from downstairs) came up wanting to go to Subway. While we waited for Jacqui & his roomie Nate (also adorable neighbor) we started doing temporary tattoos. I put an awesome bird one on Justin's wrist & then some cool music notes on my foot. Jacqui was a brave soul who attempted to put one on Jared's back (neighbor from building C) & I have not laughed that hard in a very long time I was about in tears. I love these guys because they all have such a good sense of humor & are so happy! Finally we headed to subway with everyone where Jared serenaded us after riding in the trunk, Nate took pictures with strangers & Jacqui, Jared & Nate played catch with ice cubes. Totally worth staying up extra late for.

-Last night, Em, Jacqui, Nicole & I met up with Josh C, Case, Matt A, Ryan, Matt B, Phil & his woman, & Ryan's roommie Mitch & Trevor to go to dinner for Casey's birthday which was on Monday. We headed to Golden Corral. Nothing like a buffet for a good time! It was as mentioned above...a blast because we love all those guys! We laughed & ate & watched while the waiters sang happy birthday to casey. Anywho it's been an incredible few weeks & I can't wait to see what more adventures & fun times I have coming my way. I am determined to have a blast & I love life even when it gets ridiculously stressful & hard because it's moments like these that make it worth it & remind me of what life is for.
