Well today I finished the LOST series. I sat here thinking about the whole show and the finale for a bit and felt an impression to write about it, although I admit I am still confused from it. However, the show I now realize is wonderful for so many reasons. It has a great plot, and leaves room for so much interpretation. The finale is one of the most heart wrenching, inspiring, really good finales that I have ever seen for a show/movie/ story etc. Watching it I couldn't help but cry a few times, when the characters were remembering their time on the island, when Jack was talking to his father, and when the characters were in the church. I love that the writers left so much open to what the viewer wanted to get out of it. I think that everyone that watches it, will pull something different from it depending on their life. Honestly, I don't even know what I got from it, mostly I was thinking about the light that Jack fixed that was at the source of the island. I also really loved the fact that everyone ended up in the church because it was a place they had created where they could reunite with one another. It is definitely a complex and thought provoking moment. I thought it was great that the characters didn't want to 'move on' without each other and how the important part of their life connected them in that way. Anyway, I don't really know what I got from it I suppose but I do know it was the most emotional a show has made me in a long time. I give the series 2 thumbs up even though I was really confused for most of it. For some reason, the finale, for me at least, just fit perfectly.

2011 already?
First off...it really amazes me that it is already 2011. I look back and think about my childhood and high school years and when I first moved to salt lake and I really don't know how it all came and went so very quickly. It makes me wish I had taken more time to enjoy it all and written down more of the things that happened but oh well at least I have some great memories.
Along with this new year I have made a couple of resolutions which so far are holding up. I didn't make them until a couple of weeks ago but I am going to do my best to keep them going. I am reading the Book of Mormon and it has taken me forever but I have been consistently reading every night which is awesome. I made a chart on my mirror in my room that I check off every day I read so I make sure to make time. Along with it on that chart I am working out every day. I found a great online site that has videos for each day. So far I've done yoga, cardio kick boxing and just upper body and full body workouts. I really want to get healthier this semester especially with the Summer coming up so exercise and healthy eating are a priority. The chart has really helped me stay on top of things. It gives me such a sense of accomplishment to mark out the little boxes haha.
Other good news- I was offered a job again this Summer at Wasatch Kids Camps in Salt Lake. I could not be more excited! I loved the job last year and now I just have to find a super cheap place to live this summer so I can earn up some money! And it will be fun living in Salt Lake again...I won't lie I was considering moving back to Buhl/Twin for the Summer if I didn't get the WKC job but I know finding a full time job like this one, in Idaho wouldn't have been easy.
Now for the bad news- I have had a cough for about a week now. It is the WORST! I don't have a cold or anything...just a cough. It is annoying to always be coughing though and I constantly feel like people are judging me when I cough around them. It's like "oh she is germy and coughing and gross" when really, I hate germs, I hate coughing and I would hold it in if I could! Anyway, hopefully it goes away soon because it is not helping me to get things done. More semi-bad news- I scheduled to get my 4 wisdom teeth taken out March 7th...the 1st day of my Spring Break. My dentist said they needed to come out as soon as they could and sadly Spring Break is the perfect time since I won't be in school and I can recoup all day long. I will admit I am crazy nervous for it though. I know everyone says it isn't a big deal but I have never been injured, operated on, under anesthesia or anything like that before in my life. It's a little scary to think about going under the anesthesia and having stitches and all that stuff. Hopefully I'll get over it really fast!
So school has started again and somehow I am still alive so far. I am taking 17 credits this semester which is 6 classes plus an in school practicum 3 days a week from 8-4 each day. My practicum starts this week and I could not be more nervous. I really do not want to fall behind on my schoolwork! So other than tons of studying and homework my classes are really interesting. I can't wait to get into the classroom and work with the kiddies though.
Other news- I still have my 'job' at Bath and Body Works luckily! I only work like 4-7 hours a week but hey it's better than nothing. With school and homework it's about all I can afford too! I joined a club on campus called Storytellers that promotes literacy with children in the community. I really want to start serving more and this was a great place to start. Ok that's about all I have...the end.

Working at a kids camp and finally having a fun summer job! Going home to visit Buhl for a whole entire week over Christmas break! Getting to see my parents after months of not seeing them! My daddy fixing my broken car door that had been broken for 6 months! Finally getting a job in Logan!

Compared to this time last year, are you happier or sadder?
This time last year I was moving from salt lake after living there almost 2 years to move to Logan, it was sad and a hard transition but in general I was happier with my life and happy with how things were going. This past year has been a crazy time, stressful, emotional with lots of losses and struggles so I think I am sadder but it's a new year and I intend to make it a happier one for sure!

Procrastinated and wasted my time with things like facebook
What was your favorite TV program?
The Office, How I Met Your Mother, GLEE, One Tree Hill, Brothers and Sisters

hmmm Voices by Chris Young is good, also I started listening to 30 Seconds to Mars, The Band Perry, the song Where I'm From, more from Bethany Joy Galeotti, and tons more can't even list them all
What was your favorite film of this year?
Since I havent seen HP7 or Narnia or The Social Network, so far its either Despicable Me, The A Team, Megamind or Alice in Wonderland but I love movies I can't just pick one
What did you get on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 21, and I went to dinner with a couple of my favorite girl friends in salt lake, I got to spend the day with my campers which is the best I could have asked for! The next day I got an awesome cake baked by another counselor as well as dinner at Macaroni Grill
How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010?
Same as it's always been, casual and just wearing what I think is cute and comfortable
What kept you sane?
Friends..some that are particularly awesome as well as the gospel, and my little campers who helped me put everything in perspective
Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Sam the new guy on GLEE, Jake Gyllenhall, Andy from the Office, and so many more.
Who was the best new person you met?
Well other than the 60 awesome campers I got to know...probably Stephanie/Janna/Ric some of the counselors I worked with
Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2010:
No one can determine your mood but you. And that I have no reason to ever complain, I have a blessed and amazing life compared to so many other people out there. And that we not here to be unhappy, we need to make this life all that we want it to be.
