the best place I've ever known.

I know it doesn't look like much but this is hands down the best place I have ever known. It is the property and land around my house in Buhl Idaho. I know lots people say they love their home etc., but honestly I have such an appreciative deep love for this area. I never fully appreciated it until I moved out and now I wish I had. It is the one place in this world where I feel safe, complete, like nothing is wrong, and where everything is perfect. The views continually take my breath away no matter how many times I've seen them. The view from my bedroom window is one I have memorized and dream about all the time. Sure it's dry a lot, rocky, dusty and not a tropical island, but I feel like it's mine. It's beautiful from the views to the rocks to the tiny flowers and yellow weeds that grow all around the land. I will never love a place more than I love this property. Sure my house and the decor around the outside have changed in ways I don't really love but the land remains the same. I can still go home and remember the good times I had there, sit out back and think in still silence sitting upon the giant rock that overlooks the melon valley. I wish everyone could see and feel what I do when I am here. It is a magical place that I can never get too much of.

catch up time!

Alrighty so it's been awhile since I blogged last my bad. I have been not super busy so I don't have a real excuse mostly I've been just lounging around. So I moved out of Glennwood after finals which was super duper sad! The first day after finals, that friday Christ moved out. Chavez/Alvin helped her move out. That night Britt, Nicole & I went out with Josh, Ryan, Phil, Casey & Matt to El Toro Viejo to eat some Mexican food for Cinco de Mayo. Then we played Mau for awhile with Josh, Matt & Phil. It was super fun also because Phil & Britt & I were moving the next day. That morning I moved into Jen's apt. So it's been about a week/ two. Living at Jen's hasn't been horrible but it was just way boring and I watched a TON of Brothers & Sisters. It's been fun spending time w/ family and I made time to try out some new recipes. My spinach & artichoke dip came out tasty as did some cookie bars. I went and hung out with Nicole a couple of times earlier this week and climbed to the Wind Caves with the ward for FHE. I def. miss my amazing wards and the peeps from Glennwood. It was a fun time there.
Anywho yesterday was a good time too. I went to Nicole's & Josh was down for the weekend. We wanted to go shooting and so we did! Ryan, Josh & his friend Caitlan, Matt, Nicole, Casey & I went shooting up a small canyon. We had shotguns and Matt had a handgun. It was crazy fun!! I didn't hit a single clay pigeon but still I can't wait to go again even if I have a bruise on my shoulder from it. I felt super empowered and it was just great. After that we went up Logan Canyon and the guys wanted to make Dutch Oven Cobbler. So we started a fire ( after tons of hard work & blowing from Casey and Ryan, wet wood, and sticks) and huddled around a little fire for a couple hours while the cobbler cooked. Felt like we were out there forever with the tiny fire, blowing and inhaling smoke and talking about everything from lactation to horse fetishes to killers (thank you Nicole) ha ha. It was great fun and we finally got to eat the cobbler which was tasty but crazy hot and those who didn't let it cool (Josh/Ryan) got their mouths burned. So today I moved yet again back to Salt Lake City into an apartment complex that Jen used to live in years ago. It's small and kind of ghetto but it will do for the Summer. Honestly, I can't wait to head back to Logan though I know it will be different. I am planning to live at Glennwood again just because the ward is great and I don't want to have to start from scratch yet again. So until next time here are a couple pics! Also from my Florida trip which was amazing and hot and I forgot to talk about my bad!

'ol D22 sad to say goodbye

Roommates on our last day together (thank you Josh C for taking a great photo)

Alrighty so moving day was really quite sad. I am going to miss these ladies so much because living with them was one of the best times ever. I learned something from each of them and really look up to all three of them. I will miss our nights of sitting on the couch with all our laptops out watching AI or our new favorite The Voice. Definitely will miss the days of trying a Biggest Loser contest and eating out more than I ever have in the last week together. Staying up super late was always tons of fun especially our all nighter for the Royal Wedding. And there's nothing like having wonderful roommates who will drive ya up to school even though I could totally have walked. I got extremely lucky when I got to move in with these ladies and I'll never forget how kind, open and friendly they were to me. I got great advice from them all and it really felt like I could have known them forever. D22 I will surely miss you and all our amazing times together even the crazy loud water pipes and crappy dryer!

can't stop pinning.

One more quick post before I end completely today. My amazing roommate Nicole has gotten me addicted to the website Pinterest. It is this site where people "pin" (post) lots of various things from other websites or their own photos and then you as the user can go on and "repin" items to your own boards. It is so great!! I love getting ideas and looking at pictures and then I can categorize them on my own pin boards to reference later! So far my favorites are the Recipes-so many great ones I am going to try, and wedding ideas-beautiful stuff. Everyone should check it out and since no one really reads this, by that I mean to tell myself not to forget about the awesome site. the end! : )

end of the the school year means onto SUMMER!!!

Alrighty well it's just about time for the school year to be over and by that I mean I will be DONE by thursday. Today I have two finals at school and tomorrow I have one online then I will be finished. I am SO excited. The last month or so I have been so burnt out just craving the summertime. While I am stoked that school will be over it does mark a sad ending of leaving where I have been living aka Glenwood D 22.
Last year when I first moved up to Logan I didn't really feel like it was for me, didn't have many friends and wasn't enjoying myself as much as I thought I would. When I moved into the current apt back in October however that changed. I have had 3 of the best roommates I have ever had and that's saying something since I've had a lot of them. Sure for the first couple of months it was super awkward because I was the outsider and they all have known each other for years. However the past few months I have gotten to know these girls and now love them to death. I have learned so much from all of them, had lots of fun times and I hope I get to continue being friends with them in the future. This past semester has also been amazing because the ward we live in is incredible. I haven't had a ward where I feel like I am a real part of it since the 31st ward in SLC. I am sad to be leaving my Logan ward but I am pretty sure I am going to move back to Glenwood in the fall. Reason being that I will know at least a handful of people and finally won't have to start over from scratch in a new place.
Anywho while this week is a little bit sad I am also so excited for the Summer! I leave for Orlando next week and get to have lots of bonding time with the siblings! Then WKC will start up and I can't wait to see all those beautiful faces I have missed so much this year. In not so fun news this Summer also means I will be turning 22...ugh. But I will also have 2 family reunions to look forward too as well as time spent with good friends in the salt lake valley. I don't know what all will come to me this Summer but here's to hoping it's filled with laughter, fun times, great memories and a much needed break before I graduate next Spring!
