Soooo here's a quick rundown of the last weekend & first day of our travels. Friday night BKyle decided he wanted to go camping. So Friday morning Kyle & I headed up into Logan canyon to set everything up while people were working. We drove around awhile & found a spot then texted directions & headed back in for the day. It was a lonnnngggg day of trying to not be bored haha. First of all we set up a tent he had brought & realized that the bags contained the rain covers only. It was hilarious. Sooo we ended up setting up Emilee's tent which was pretty confusing with a bunch of bars. After we got the tent and equipment unloaded, we began to look for wood. We searched for tons of firewood, used a hammer, jumping, & breaking the wood in any way that we could. We spent time eating our little lunches from the gas station, I read some while he fixed his BB gun, we shot the BB gun & his cap gun, we went on a drive to explore other trails while he blasted rap music & then we mostly just sat around. We didn't kill each other luckily, though we thought we would. Finally Nicole & Christy showed up! We set up all the chairs & Christy & Kyle climbed all the way up the mountain while Nicolae & I chatted. Em, Jacqui, Spencer & Nate showed up about half an hour later. They all headed up the mountain too for a hike while we hung out & nicole started the fire...she's a real fire pro!
Finally Kyle & the gang came down & we all hung out chatting & telling stories while the fire got really hot & then we put in tin foil dinners to get cooking! We told more stories & listened to Christy tell us about her Saran Wrap prank & we took some pictures. Then we got to eat....they were DELICIOUS. Oh my gosh they were so stinking good...kyle & jacqui had made them the night before & I loved every single bite. We also snacked on fruit snacks, cookies, starbursts & made smores. As night fell we sat around the fire staying warm playing the IPOD shuffle game, telling more stories & having a lovely bonding time. Me & Nicole headed to the bathroom where I was scared half to death by a mousey. Finally spencer, nate, christy, nicole & I headed to the tent to sleep & morgan showed up which was lovely as well. We all stayed up awhile and told some scary stories & talked and then drifted off until about 4am when everyone randomly woke up at the same time for no real reason...but turns out everyone was crazy uncomfortable & no one had really slept at all but just been shifting uncomfortably on rocks etc. Welp we made it to morning where Kyle made a tasty breakfast, we packed up camp & headed out. It was the perfect start for our group to begin the summer...below are some photos.
